Passwords, Patch Management, and Backups
All Sentry Credit, Inc systems (server and desktop) require a user ID and password.  Sentry's policy is to change passwords frequently in order to minimize the risk of unauthorized use of logons and passwords.  Administrative rights to any of our systems are limited to those that require it for a specific job function.  Sentry Credit also monitors, maintains, and addresses all patch management issues.
 
Nightly backups are performed for all essential services with offsite storage of all backups to our second site.
Anti-Virus/Spam Protection
Sentry Credit is using several products at different layers to manage virus and spam threats. At the perimeter of the network, a Watchguard Firebox and Barracuda appliance is used to block incoming SPAM and AV traffic.  Centrally administered Symantec Endpoint is used to manager AV, Spam and Client Firewalls for all nodes on the network.  Spam and AV virus patterns are updated automatically from Symantec's update Live service to prevent new threats.

 

Intrusion Detection
Sentry Credit uses all the latest technologies and best practices for first defense and Intrusion Prevention.
 

 

 

Phone System
We use the latest technology available from Nortel.  We have upgraded all our systems utilizing Nortel's CS1000E utilizing IP Phones and Nortel Networks infrastructure.  Our system is capable of expanding to 10,000 lines and phones.  With the foundation pieces in place, we have a platform to grow and expand in new locations fairly easily.

 

Dialer Systems
We use a mixed blend of our own in house dialer system and have agreements in place to use an internet dialer company that allows for virtually unlimited capacity.
